1. Right now I'm a bit lost and feeling like I'm stuck while everyone else strides ahead. But I also know that God has much to teach me about faith.

And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to going to sleep, even though I didn't get an early night as planned (I blame Tumblr), tomorrow my plans include quiet time, reading and Sunday, I want to go home, where I haven't been for more than a week!

6. I will be packing snacks, ‘cause I'm in it for the long haul.

1. As I neared the end of the week, I realised just how much I need a weekend.
2. The Joy Luck Club is what I'm reading right now. It's the basis of a film I like, but I haven't started the book quite yet. I'm hoping I will enjoy it as much as Shantaram - the last book I read and an utterly amazing one at that.
3. I didn't start out this way, I was naive, not cynical. Bright-eyed, not bitter.
4. It hasn't really sunk in,to tell the truth.
5. The best way to rile me up is to tell me to calm down.
6. This is the reason I am thankful: Romans 8:28. It says, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to going to see the 'rents, tomorrow my plans include spending the day with the 'rents and Sunday, I want to sort out a few things round the house, do a bit of cross-stitch and start reading my book!
1. One of my favorite things about December is the knowledge that I will soon have some time off work, to spend with family and friends, and that a new year is just around the corner.
2. If I had my own place and my own Christmas tree to decorate, believe me, it would be adorned with an eclectic mix of very cute ornaments!
3. This is what I'm hoping for today/tonight: that Dad is feeling well enough for me to spend some time with him and that he gets better very soon.
4. When a snowflake lands on a squirrel’s nose, does he make a noise?
5. Ooh, a mince pie?Don’t mind if I do!
6. The Carol of the Bells with soon be ringing! And then I can do some comedic operatic singing to go with it!

And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to seeing my parents and getting snuggly in my pyjamas (my bed at their house is so comfortable), tomorrow my plans include watching a service online, or reading, or some other quiet time and Sunday, I want to sort out some space in my room so it doesn’t depress me to be in there!

2. The humble carrot is my favorite vegetable because I love eating them raw like bugs bunny and have done since I was little.
3. My dream pet is one that feeds and cleans itself and only comes to me for cuddles and company. Hey, that could just as easily be a boyfriend! Lol!

5. If I could live anywhere in the world I'd live in a place that had a more constant climate, at least for a little while. I would miss the seasons, but really want at least one summer that is an actual summer with regular sunshine and warmth!
6. I am hoping that this weekend the sun will keep on shinin' on me. It's beautiful out there today, let's hope it lasts!

1. How in the world did I get to this age? I've no idea how I'll feel in 30 years' time and am actually old! 2. I need to think less about what has happened previously and focus on what liesin front of me.
3. Life's a battle to make the right choices. 4. This weekend could be an ideal time for an indoor picnic lunch, if today's constant rain is anything to go by.
5. That was where we spent our teenage years, full of abandon, carefree minds and wrought emotion.

And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to wishing Big Sis a happy birthday in person and then catching up on the sleep I've lost this week through fault of my own making, tomorrow my plans include lunch with MiniMe, an afternoon with the boy and then a night of drinks and dancing with MiniMe, her fella and their friends and Sunday, I want to try and wake up on time to have lunch with some other friends, then get back to spend the rest of the day with Samson, knowing we have an extra day of weekend to enjoy, woo hoo!

1. It's fun to let go of reality and use your imagination. Failing that, it’s fun to go to a toyshop and set off all the talking cuddly toys at the same time, then make a quick getaway.
2. A bad impression is easy to make. Which is why I like to give everyone a second chance!
3. I like to be made a fuss over, occasionally. Alternatively, I like to be alone!.
4. How was my life supposed to turn out? Which decision(s) completely changed the direction I was meant to take? I will never know!
5. Something I'm very much excited about is turning 30. I know most people don’t get excited by that, but I’ve decided I’m going to be and am going to celebrate in style!
6. I wasn’t going to get photographs and video of my skydive, as I couldn’t afford it, but my Mum convinced me I should and paid for it for me, and I’m so glad she did! The end product was well worth it.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to being able to relax in the way you can when you know you don’t have to get up for work the next day, tomorrow my plans include probably going to see the ‘rents and Sunday, I want to select a good bunch of photos for my parents’ wedding anniversary present and try to restart my cross-stitch project!
1. The only question is what is your purpose for being? Everyone has one, it's just a case of discovering it.
2. Just think of all the lives tha start and end in one day.
3. Three things on my desk: my mug that has a history of art timeline on it; a small, black, carved wooden African (?) statue that I inherited from someone else' desk; and a peace lily.
4. Paint my toenails is the one thing I HAVE to do today! I wouldn't normally pick such a frivolous thing, but I have done lots of work today already and am going to a wedding tomorrow with open-toed shoes and that's the one thing I haven't done to make myself look presentable!
5. I love playing with:Samson's hair (because it pings back into place), my friends' children, cats and words.
6. An amazing view from on a mountain top while out in the open overwhelms the senses.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to chilling out with Samson after what has felt like a hectic week, tomorrow my plans include going to the wedding of one of Samson's good friends (I won't know anyone there - yikes!) and Sunday, I want to return to London, have an afternoon nap and generally feel relaxed in time for another week!

1. How can I say thanks for the things you have done for me? ['My Tribute' - my Mum used to sing this all the time when I was growing up].
2. I'm still not convinced thatweed should be legalised. I know too many people that is has negatively effected, some permanently.
3. My hair is fabulous. The end. Haha!
4. This Wednesday my Mum is going to Washington D.C. for a week, for a family/college reunion - lucky old her! She needs a break and deserves it.
5. My favorite summer fruits are all of them, really. I love tropical fruits, but they aren't technically summer fruits, seeing as they don't grow here. So I'm going to say berries - strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, all that lovely stuff.
6. "Don't go chasing waterfalls."...what was that? A quote from 'The Other Guys', that's what!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm (not) looking forward to the mountain of washing up I have to do in preparation for Big Sis and Bro-in-Law's return in the middle of the night, tomorrow my plans include going to my old church with the Mrs and her Dad and then going to visit my parents and Sunday, I want to have lunch with my uni girls and then relax!
2. A person of good character and strong principles is unchanged by pressure, circumstances or convenience.
3. Aargh! I'm slipping backwards again!
4. Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.
5. Seven: the best and most blest day of the week (Saturday).
6. Life would be wonderful for everyone in the world if their most basic needs (food, water, shelter, healthcare, education, employment) were available to them, don't you think?

And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to getting home, having something good to eat, catching up on some blog reading/writing and generally just chilling out all on my own, tomorrow my plans include sorting out a few bits, watching Stanborough Park Church online and then going to meet the Mrs for a lazy aftenoon milling about, finally getting to watch Bridesmaids and then having Nando's for dinner and Sunday, I want to do my laundry (so gangsta!)!

2. Lolly is someone I like to travel with because she is easy-going, similar-minded and doesn't mind me taking millions of pictures, as long as I get some of her!
3. That day, the day I am debt-free, will be one of huge happiness and relief. I am hoping to see that day before my next birthday - that's 10 months in which to acheive it, eek!
4. I would LOVE a beach holiday somewhere hot this year. It's probably not going to happen quite yet because of point #3.
5. Trust completely only in God, because He alone knows everything and humans are sadly flawed. I'm trying to remember this.
6. I like listening to chilled-out music in bed in the dark.

I missed last week's Fill-Ins, so am doing a combined post of both.
And...here we go!
1. Getting away would be easier if I could drive.
2. A good night's sleep helps to start your day off right.
3. Coffee, tea or hot chocolate? I will usually always choose tea, but will go for a hot chocolate now and then (especially if from A&T, yum yum).
4. Attachments to things in place of relationships with people is never an adequate substitute.
5. The lights aren't on as much while the sunset is so late.
6. Everyone deserves happiness.
7. Blue skies are a nice surprise.
8. There are some avenues off memory lane that I would rather not go down, but most of the way is fun to re-visit.
9. Kids are innocent, endearing, inspiring, scarily observant and generally full of the joie de vivre that we start to lose the older we get.
10. Escaping the rat race, seeing new people, places and languages, constantly good weather; these are some of the best things about vacation.
11. Love is only real when put into action.
12. If you don't know what watching the submarine races means (like me until a moment ago), you will laugh when you look it up on Urban Dictionary.
13. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to having dinner with the fam and my visitng cousin Duck, tomorrow my plans include going to W-church for the first time in ages and Sunday, I want to spend time with my cuz and hopefully a bit of time with Samson too!

1. One of my favorite birthday presents was the blue and yellow bike I got when I was about 5.
2. He liked me, so he asked me out on a date, it was as simple as that. A relationship that isn't complicated - imagine!
3. The moon was eclipsed by the earth's shadow last night...allegedly. I didn't even hear about it until it was almost over and there was too much cloud to see anything, in any case!
4. A good weekend includes nice weather, good food and fun company.
5. I was tempted by Big Sis' clothing purchases that she showed me yesterday to have a splurge myself on payday. But I realised that actually, I don't especially want to. This is significant progress!
6. Get a serious tan, explore some beautiful landscapes, chill out, swim, take photos and eat yummy fresh fruit are some of the things I like to do on vacation.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to chilling out with the knowledge I don't have to go to work next week, tomorrow my plans include going to church (for the first time in ages) with the Mrs, then going to visit the 'rents and Sunday, I want to start the epic task that is sorting out my room!
1. I remember when I first heard that Princess Diana had died. I was on the toilet and my Dad shouted the news up the stairs. Not a great image, I know.
2. This morning, the rain was showering down, thunder and all - I think it might be because Prince Philip is 90 years old today. There's a message in there somewhere.
3. Most humans aren't as clever as they like to think.
4. But he told me he loved me...sound familiar?
5. I was inspired by Mariah Carey to improvise while singing, by my Mum to be fearless, by my Dad to be funny, by Big Sis to be stylish, by Bigger Sis to be open-minded and outspoken and by Samson to be me!
6. I have put any number of clothes, shoes and accessories into my wardrobe, but can never find things to wear. I think all the good items find their way out the back and escape to Narnia, or who knows where!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to visiting the Mrs for a chilled out evening(but no pizza!), tomorrow my plans include going to see Samson for a bit and Sunday, I want to watch another episode of True Blood season 3, write a blog post and buy sandwich components for my lunches next week!

2. Inside every sentence said in jest is a tiny, weeny kernel of truth.
3. Eat to live, eat with enjoyment, eat well, eat with gratitude, eat a balanced diet and eat until just before you are full.
