Week In Review #24

I don’t know what I’ve done this week that I can review. Hmm, this somewhat renders this exercise defunct. I am honestly losing my marbles. The weekend rolls around and takes all memory of the preceding five days with it.

Best evening out of the week
The spontaneous shopping saga that Lolly and I embarked on, on Monday night. Highlights? Me actually having some cash, us getting lots of cool (and cheap) stuff from Primark, drinking coffee (or chai tea latte in my case) at a discount (thanks to Lolly’s coffee crush), two for one on Purdeys in Superdrug and lengthy conversations throughout and then over a KFC dinner. Pretty much the whole evening was a highlight, then.

Best bargain of the week
Pretty much everything I bought in Primani. I don’t make a habit of buying animal-print shoes, but when they’re £4, you can’t go wrong. It would be rude not to, at that price (as seen below, first pair on the left).

Best photo of the week
The following evidence of Lolly’s shoe mega-shop. Five pairs, baby.

Best evening in of the week
Wednesday night, chilling with Big Sis and cracking up for about two hours.

Best seemingly-easy (but inexplicably difficult in practice) course of action of the week
Me trying to draw a final line under the on-going and drawn-out saga with The Ex. It might seem insignificant, but it was a big thing for me, partly because he makes it so hard.

Best random gift of foodage of the week
A big slab of yummy Mint Aero left on my desk by Boss Lady (evidence in the post below). The way to my heart is probably through my stomach. But you can also get there by not being an arsehole. Haha!

Lolly was maybe going to stay at mine this weekend because I had invited her to a talk the minister is giving tomorrow night at my church. It’s called ‘Spiritual Sex’ (click here for more info) and I’m quite looking forward to what they have to say. Turns out she can't make it after all, which is probably just as well, considering the amount of work I would have to do at the moment to get my room in a fit state for guests, even if it is a very understanding guest like Lolly. My Sunday will therefore consist of tidying up, cleaning, sorting out my wardrobe, doing laundry, doing some reading and preparation for the sermon I have to give on the 15th as part of my lay-preaching course (eek), maybe getting to the gym if I have time and then just generally being fabulous for the rest of the day. Ha!

The week has been alright, yo. It is now my two-week warning till I start my new job. Yowza! I have way too much to do before then! Pantsola! OK, I'm not going to think about that right this moment. I am instead going to go and have a nice long, hot shower and go to bed!

Nighty night, y'all. Hope you had a happy week.
