With gratitude for all the lives given for the freedoms we enjoy today;sadness for the lives lost in the name of causes still unknown;
anger at the notion that oil, money and power are more valuable than human life;
respect for the bravery of those whose service for their country was a duty, not a choice;
compassion for the millions of people whose lives have been torn apart by unwanted conflict;
grief for the many children of both soldiers and civilians, who are now fatherless as a result;
hope that war will one day be a memory that is replaced by peace.
