Men Multi-Tasking

I went to the photocopy room to copy a payment form. Hawkes was there. He saw me arrive and went to move his stuff from one of the machines.

Hawkes: Hang on, I’ll just get out of your way, I’m using both of them!
Me: Ooh, multi-tasking!
Hawkes: No, not multi-tasking, I’m not a woman. I can’t multi-task, so I’ve been told.
[Pause.]
Me: Well, I can’t play football, so we’re even.
[Pause]
Hawkes: (Starting to laugh) Is that all men can do? Play football?!
Me: (Also laughing) I don’t know, it was the first thing that came to mind!

If it’s a choice over being able to use two photocopiers simultaneously or playing football, I think I’d prefer football, to be honest. :o)
