1. The last band I saw live was so long ago, I don't even remember! I think I saw Dwele at The Jazz Cafe. Actually, my bad. I saw my workmate Daryl's band The Morning Side, with a few other new bands at The 100 Club. They have since got a record deal!
2. What I look forward to most on Thanksgiving is one day celebrating it with my 'American Boy' (as Estelle would say).
3. My Christmas/holiday shopping is going to be rather low budget this year. But after being inspired by a few blogs on thoughtful gifts, I'm going to try and make an effort to be creative.
4. Thoughts of January and an important date tentatively pencilled into the diary fill my head.
5. I wish I could wear this really nice jumper dress I have (dark teal green, 100% merino wool, slash neckline - a little bit 80s but it's warm and I like it!), but it's relatively fitted and above the knee and I'm not brave enough!
6. Bagpipes were made of animal skin that you blow into with pipes. Which begs the question, who first thought to do that...and more importantly, why?!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to visiting my Dad in the hospital and enjoying the end of the week, tomorrow my plans include church in the morning and then visiting Dad for a little singsong (if they'll let us; I've never been forcibly removed from a hospital before, but there's always a first time...) and Sunday, I want to sort out my bills and budget in time for payday on Monday!

Whoa buddy -- why is Dad in the hospital?!
A (second) hip replacement. I would have blogged about this but it's been a busy week! It went well and he is OK, but will be in for a few days yet. I've only just realised how that might have looked!
What's that line... "Sing as if no one is listening..." let 'um remove you if they like, but as my hubby likes to say... "It's better to ask forgiveness then ask permission!"
I'm enjoying your writing!
My Dad's in the hospital right now too, which is why I'm so late getting around to seeing folks. Hope your Dad is feeling better, have a happy Thanksgiving :-)
Christina - we've didn't even get to sing in the end! Maybe next time. Asking forgiveness is better than asking permission - lol, I like that!
Thanks for your lovely comments!
Janet - So sorry to hear that your Dad is poorly too. Wishing him a speedy recovery. My Dad is getting there, thanks. Hopefully he'll be out soon! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
