A colleague informed me yesterday that today is 'Poets' Day'. I was intrigued by this and slightly ashamed that I hadn't heard of this before, seeing as I was an English student and all.
"Oh really," I said, "Poet's day?"
"Oh yes," he answered, sensing my confusion. "Haven't you heard of it before?"
"No," I admitted.
"You know, POETS' day. Push Off Early, Tomorrow's Saturday."
And with a cheeky smile, off he went.
I did push off early, actually. I do every Friday. Tomorrow is Sabbath after all. :o)
